Dance for Kids was established in 1989 and in 1997, the popular dance school was
relocated to its current home, the Brentwood Gardens. In 2000,
Karen Chase, a Broadway dancer, actress and one of the original “Laker Girls,”
acquired Dance for Kids. The mission statement for Dance for Kids (“DFK”) is to
provide a loving and nurturing environment for children to study and to
appreciate the art of dance. Karen has assembled the finest teaching staff in
the history of the studio. Each teacher is charged with the responsibility to
create a class lesson plan that will be fun, educational and will follow the
fundamentals of the Karen Chase method of dance instruction for children. The
students at DFK study dance in a safe and comfortable environment.
